Strawberry Syrup
Strawberry syrup gives you consistent strawberry flavor without the muddling mess. Monin and Torani make bar-standard versions, or make your own by cooking down fresh strawberries with equal parts sugar and water. Homemade tastes dramatically better and takes about 15 minutes. Use it in a Strawberry Daiquiri, add to lemonade with vodka, or drizzle into a glass of prosecco. It’s also great in non-alcoholic drinks — kids love a strawberry Italian soda. Store homemade syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks. A half-ounce per drink is usually the right amount.
