St Germain

Bartenders call St Germain “bartender’s ketchup” because it goes with everything — and they’re not wrong. This French elderflower liqueur has a delicate floral sweetness with notes of pear, peach, and grapefruit. Add it to Champagne for an instant elegant cocktail, mix it with gin and soda for an easy highball, or use it in a twist on a Margarita. Created in 2007 by Robert Cooper, it single-handedly launched the elderflower trend in cocktails. At 20% ABV and around thirty-five dollars a bottle, it’s a splurge that earns its shelf space.
