Raspberry Syrup

Don’t confuse raspberry syrup with grenadine — they’re different animals. Raspberry syrup brings a tart berry sweetness that works in everything from Clover Clubs to fruity Collins variations. You can buy Torani or Monin off the shelf, but making your own is dead simple: simmer equal parts sugar and fresh raspberries with a little water, strain, done. It keeps in the fridge for a couple of weeks. The deep red color looks great in layered shots too. A little goes a long way since it’s quite sweet.
