Raspberries
Muddle a few fresh raspberries into a cocktail shaker and you get this gorgeous ruby color plus a sweet-tart flavor that plays well with almost any spirit. They’re the star of a Raspberry Mojito and work beautifully in gin sours and champagne cocktails. Frozen raspberries are perfectly fine for mixing — they’re picked ripe and actually muddle easier than fresh ones. Strain your drink through a fine mesh sieve unless you enjoy seeds stuck in your teeth. About six berries per drink is the sweet spot.
