Peppermint Schnapps

When the holidays roll around, peppermint schnapps shows up everywhere. It’s a clear, intensely minty liqueur — Rumple Minze at 50% ABV is the strong one, while DeKuyper’s version is lighter and sweeter. Drop it into hot chocolate for a spiked winter warmer, or mix it with creme de cacao and cream for a Peppermint Patty cocktail. The Candy Cane shot layers it with grenadine for a festive red-and-white look. Outside of December, it’s honestly a hard sell, but it keeps forever in the cabinet so there’s no harm in having a bottle around.
