Passion Fruit Syrup
Tiki legend Trader Vic used passion fruit syrup in many of his original recipes, and brands like Liber & Co and Small Hand Foods have brought it back to modern bars. It gives you that intense tropical tartness with built-in sweetness, ready to shake into a Hurricane or a Jungle Bird riff. Unlike passion fruit juice, the syrup has a thicker body that helps cocktails feel more substantial. You can make your own by combining strained passion fruit pulp with equal parts sugar. Stores well in the fridge for a couple of weeks.
