Orange Soda
Mixing vodka or rum with orange soda is the kind of lazy-brilliant move that just works. Fanta and Sunkist are the usual suspects, and they bring a candy-sweet citrus flavor that pairs surprisingly well with vanilla vodka — think of it as a boozy Creamsicle. It’s also a popular mixer for tequila in parts of Mexico. Orange soda runs sweeter than orange juice, so skip any added sugar or simple syrup. Pour over plenty of ice to keep it from getting cloying, and add a squeeze of fresh lime to balance things out.
