Orange Bitters
Orange bitters were once as common behind the bar as Angostura, but they nearly disappeared during Prohibition and took decades to make a comeback. Regan’s Orange Bitters No. 6 and Fee Brothers are the two most popular brands today. A dash or two adds a subtle citrus complexity to a Martini or a Whiskey Sour. Pre-Prohibition cocktail recipes frequently called for them, so if you’re into classic cocktail revival, a bottle of orange bitters belongs on your shelf.
