Margarita Mix

Let’s be honest — fresh lime juice and agave syrup will always make a better Margarita than anything from a bottle. But premade margarita mix has its place at big parties where you’re making drinks for twenty people and don’t have time to juice fifty limes. If you go bottled, Tres Agaves and Stirrings use real juice and taste noticeably better than the fluorescent green stuff. The worst offenders are mostly corn syrup, citric acid, and artificial flavoring — read the label. For a frozen margarita, blending mix with tequila and ice works perfectly well when perfection isn’t the point.
