Malibu Coconut Rum

Malibu is a coconut-flavored rum liqueur from Barbados. At 21% ABV it’s considerably lighter than regular rum, and its sweetness makes it an easy mixer. It’s a staple in tropical drinks like the Piña Colada and Malibu Bay Breeze. Malibu built its reputation in the 1980s and ’90s as a beach-party bottle, and while it’s fallen out of fashion in craft cocktail circles, it still moves a huge amount of volume. It also comes in mango, pineapple, and other flavored variants.
