Lime

The lime wedge or wheel is the most common cocktail garnish after ice itself. Beyond decoration, a lime squeezed into a drink at the last moment adds fresh acidity that bottled juice can’t match. Limes are a must for the Gin and Tonic, Moscow Mule, and practically every drink served in a copper mug. When buying limes, look for ones that feel heavy for their size — they’ll have more juice. Store them at room temperature if you’re using them within a few days.
