Lemon Lime Soda

Sprite, 7-Up, Sierra Mist — pick your favorite, they all do roughly the same job in cocktails. Lemon-lime soda is the easiest mixer on the planet, turning just about any spirit into a drinkable highball. It’s the base of a Vodka Sprite and a key player in Seven and Seven (Seagram’s 7 and 7-Up). Pour it gently down the side of the glass to keep the fizz alive. It’s sweeter than club soda, so you won’t need extra sugar in most recipes.
