Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur

That monk-shaped bottle on the back bar is Frangelico, an Italian hazelnut liqueur that’s been around since the 1970s. At 20% ABV, it’s gentle and nutty with hints of vanilla and cocoa — think liquid Nutella, but less sweet. It’s fantastic in coffee, whether hot or as part of a Hazelnut Espresso Martini. Mix it with vodka for a Nutty Russian, or pair it with amaretto and cream for something dangerously drinkable. The name supposedly references Fra Angelico, a hermit monk in Piedmont. One of those bottles that sits on the shelf until you try it and wonder why you waited.
