Dr. Pepper Soda

That unique 23-flavor profile of Dr. Pepper makes it a surprisingly fun cocktail mixer. Amaretto and Dr. Pepper is a modern classic — the almond sweetness plays off those cherry-vanilla notes perfectly. It also pairs well with bourbon, Fireball whisky, and dark rum. The famous Flaming Dr. Pepper shot (amaretto and 151 dropped into a pint of beer) doesn’t actually contain any Dr. Pepper — it just tastes like it. Use the real thing straight from the can for maximum fizz; flat Dr. Pepper in a cocktail is a sad affair.
