The Cuba Libre adds lime to the rum-and-Coke formula. The sweetness and caramel notes in Coke complement aged spirits well, though you’d rarely see it used in craft cocktail bars. Mexican Coke, made with cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup, is worth seeking out if you’re particular about your mixers.
