Coconut Milk
Coconut milk is the lighter cousin of coconut cream, and it works in cocktails where you want tropical flavor without the heavy thickness. Use it in a Batida de Coco, shake with rum and pineapple, or blend into frozen drinks. Full-fat canned coconut milk (like Thai Kitchen or Chaokoh) has the richest flavor; the carton stuff is too watered down for cocktails. Shake your can well before opening since the fat separates. It’s naturally dairy-free, making it a great option for creamy cocktails that need to work for everyone at the party.
