Butterscotch Schnapps

If you’ve had a Buttery Nipple shot, you’ve had butterscotch schnapps. DeKuyper Buttershots and Hiram Walker are the usual suspects behind the bar. It’s intensely sweet with that candy butterscotch flavor — brown sugar and butter — which makes it a one-trick pony, but a fun one. Mix it with vodka and cream for something dessert-like, or layer it with Irish cream for that classic shot. It’s around 15-20% ABV, so it’s not hitting hard on its own. Best used sparingly and in drinks where you want that unambiguous candy sweetness.
