Blackberry Brandy
Blackberry brandy sits in that cozy corner of the liquor shelf between “cocktail ingredient” and “something grandpa sips by the fire.” Hiram Walker and DeKuyper make the standard bar versions — they’re sweet, berry-forward, and around 30% ABV. It’s the key ingredient in a Blackberry Cobbler cocktail and works well shaken with lemon juice for a bramble-style sour. Some Wisconsin bars famously serve it in old fashioneds instead of bitters and muddled fruit. Pour it over vanilla ice cream for a lazy dessert, or warm it gently for a cold-weather sipper.
