Apple Juice

Apple juice is a mixer that pairs naturally with whiskey, bourbon, and autumnal spice flavors. The Apple Jack and various cider-based cocktails rely on it. Unfiltered apple cider (the cloudy kind) has a richer, more complex flavor than clear apple juice and works better in drinks where apple is the star. In fall and winter, warm apple juice spiked with bourbon, cinnamon, and cloves is hard to beat. Keep it simple — Mott’s or Martinelli’s both work fine for mixing.
